Within the scope of this project, the control infrastructure of the existing flexo label printing line was reviewed, automation improvements were made to increase production performance, and the goal was to make the machine run more stably, safely and efficiently.

Automation overhaul on flexo printing presses is of great importance in terms of print quality, material flow, register control, rewind-unwind balance and operator ease of use. With a properly executed automation modernization, existing machines can be made longer-lasting, more controlled and more suitable for production.

Drum-type flexo printing presses are systems requiring high precision in flexible packaging, film and packaging print production. Print quality, register stability, material transfer, tension balance, servo motor synchronization and the drying system directly affect the machine’s production performance.

Within the scope of this project, the machine’s mechanical, electrical, automation and servo drive systems were reviewed; the necessary maintenance, calibration and on-site adjustments were carried out so the production line runs more stably, safely and efficiently.

Within the scope of this project, the mechanical, electrical and automation systems of the existing flexo printing line were reviewed; the diagnosis of faults that may occur during production, the necessary on-site checks and commissioning work were carried out.

On flexo printing presses, a correct technical service process is critical in terms of print quality, material flow, register control, drying system, rewind-unwind balance, pneumatic / hydraulic equipment and the electrical-control infrastructure. Dismantling, transporting, reinstalling and commissioning these machines requires expertise in terms of mechanical alignment, electrical connections, the drying system, rewind-unwind groups, web path, tension control and print units.

Within the scope of this project, the aim was to evaluate the Kohli rotogravure printing line in line with the field conditions, prepare the dismantling and assembly plan, carry out the mechanical-electrical checks and commission it ready for production.

Within the scope of this project, the aim was to increase the production performance of the existing turret rewinder line, reduce operator intervention and make the winding/cutting process more controlled. A more stable, safe and efficient working structure was established for the winding, roll change and cutting operations after label printing.

We carried out the overhaul of the old HMI operator panel on the Flexo Technica flexo printing press and its renewal with a Siemens Simatic HMI panel.

At GMG Technic, we carried out the overhaul of the old HMI operator panel on the Flexo Technica flexo printing press and its renewal with a Siemens Simatic HMI panel.

Within the scope of this project, the existing operator screen and machine control infrastructure were reviewed, a modern Siemens HMI solution was implemented in place of the old panel, and a new screen interface suited to the machine’s operating logic was prepared. The aim was to make operator use easier, make production parameters more readable and improve the serviceability of the machine.

On flexo printing presses, HMI screens play a critical role in managing the print units, tension control, rewind-unwind groups, temperature, speed, alarms and production parameters. Old or faulty operator panels can lead to production downtime, usage difficulties and service problems.

A more up-to-date, readable and serviceable Siemens Simatic HMI infrastructure is used in place of the old HMI panel.

On printing presses, packaging machines, rotogravure and flexo printing lines, slitter rewinder machines, lamination lines, footwear production machines, rewind-unwind systems and custom production machines, automation systems are the machine’s main control center. A problem in the PLC, HMI, servo drive or communication system can cause production downtime, quality loss, register drift, tension problems, speed synchronization errors and operator usage difficulties.

At GMG Technic, we evaluate not only the faulty device but the machine’s operating scenario, the motor-drive structure, the sensors, the encoders, the panel connections, the mechanical load and the production process together.

Over time, problems such as screen faults, loss of touch sensitivity, unavailability of spare parts, program loss, screen cracking, image distortion or usage difficulty can develop on old HMI panels. This can lead to downtime on the production line, operator errors and difficulties in process control.

In this project, the operator panel of the existing Main Group EVA injection machine was reviewed, the old HMI infrastructure was renewed with a Siemens HMI, and the screen structure was reorganized to suit the machine process. In this way, the aim was for the operator to follow production parameters more clearly, make machine settings more controllably and manage fault / alarm situations more understandably.

In this project, the aim was to recover the solvents used in the rotogravure printing process, integrate it into the production line and commission it in a way suited to the plant infrastructure. Through the installed system, the goal was to include solvent vapors in the recovery process, reduce operating costs and make the production process more sustainable.

Solvent recycling systems provide significant advantages both economically and environmentally, particularly at packaging plants engaged in rotogravure printing, lamination and solvent-based production. Correct project design, on-site assembly, piping, connection and commissioning are critical for the system to be safely integrated into the production line.
