The HCI Converting Equipment surface winding type slitter rewinder family. It is designed for the small diameter (max 500 mm) winding of thin, slippery and low-volume film, label and foil materials. With a floating type unwind stand + 2 sets of 3 inch rewind air shafts + an automatic lift-up/lift-down rewind shaft device, slit roll output is performed continuously. The left/right movable trim winder + 1HP edge trim removal fan + static discharge included in the standard package provide a clean working environment. It is offered in four web width configurations: FSL-BT1000, FSL-BT1300, FSL-BT1600 and FSL-BT1800. GMG Technic Makina San. ve Tic. Ltd. Production Advantages
- The surface contact winding structure provides high-quality roll winding on thin, slippery and low-volume film materials; even with low tension, a tight and solid slit roll is produced.
- A floating type unwind stand + 3 inch × 1300 mm pneumatic air shaft is included in the standard package; the parent roll is automatically balanced and gripped quickly.
- Thanks to the automatic lift-up/lift-down rewind shaft device, operator intervention is reduced during slit roll changes; production continuity increases.
- A razor in groove roller cutting unit (10 sets) + groove roller is included in the standard package; slit width combinations are set up quickly. With the optional shear blade cutting unit, the cutting type can be changed according to the material.
- A left/right movable trim winder + 1HP edge trim removal fan + static discharge is included in the standard package; edge trim is taken out of the line, providing a clean working environment.
- With the modular upgrade packages, a Siemens PLC + 9 inch HMI, an LPC/EPC web guiding (Germany E+L, Japan Mitsuhashi or ), a 1000 mm large diameter unwind stand and a hydraulic lift unwind stand are added.

The FSL-BT surface winding type slitter-rewinder is designed for the precise slitting and winding of laminating paper, aluminum foil and thin/slippery plastic films of uniform thickness. With the surface winding principle, small diameter, tight and even rolls are obtained.

FSL-BT operating principle and core technical features
Surface Winding Type (Signature)
Winding is done by contact from the surface of the roll; on thin, slippery and low-volume film materials, a tight and solid slit roll is produced even with low tension. Compared to other slitting machines, surface winding is optimized for small diameter (max 500 mm) products.
Floating Unwind + Automatic Lift-Up/Lift-Down
On the unwind side, a floating type stand provides automatic balance; on the rewind side, an automatic lift-up/lift-down rewind shaft device reduces operator intervention. Slit roll changes are faster, production continuity increases.
4 Web Width Configurations
The FSL-BT series is offered in 1000, 1300, 1600 and 1800 mm web width configurations. The most suitable model for the investment plan and slit width range is selected.
Trim Winder + Static Discharge
A left/right movable trim winder + 1HP edge trim removal fan + static discharge unit is included in the standard package. Edge trim is taken out of the line, static electricity is eliminated, providing a clean working environment.
Vector Motor Drive 7.5HP + 5HP × 2
The main drive vector motor 7.5HP and 2 sets of rewind vector motors 5HP are included in the standard package. The upper/lower rewind shafts are driven independently for different direction and tension taper control. Stable winding is provided even on speed changes.
PLC + 8″ Color HMI
The standard package includes an 8 inch color LCD touchscreen. It includes dialog-based parameter setting, unwind and rewind tension automatic control, automatic stop on material break and set length, and recipe memory 50-unit functions.
Floating Type Unwind Stand
On the unwind side, a floating type stand provides automatic balance; the left/right opening levers apply equal pressure to the core inner diameter. Parent roll eccentricity is compensated, slit position precision is high.
Powder Brake 10 kg/m Unwind Tension
The unwind tension control via powder brake 10 kg/m is included in the standard package. With the built-in automatic control function, tension is corrected as the roll diameter changes; surface damage on thin and slippery film material is eliminated.
Air Shaft 3″ × 1300 mm (Unwind + 2 Sets Rewind)
1 set on the unwind side and 2 sets on the rewind side of pneumatic 3 inch × 1300 mm air shafts are included in the standard package. The air channels apply equal pressure to the core inner diameter, providing fast grip and release.
Automatic Lift-Up/Lift-Down Rewind Shaft Device
On the rewind side, an automatic lift-up/lift-down device is included in the standard package. Operator intervention is reduced during slit roll changes; the rewind shaft moves automatically to preset positions.
Razor in Groove Roller Cutting System
The standard package includes a 10-set razor cutting unit + groove roller. It provides frictionless slit cutting; a clean cut edge is formed on thin film and foil materials. It can be changed with the optional shear blade cutting system.
1HP Edge Trim Removal Fan
A 1HP edge trim removal fan is included in the standard package. It provides suction power to transfer the edge trim material out of the line; it works integrated with the optional vacuum type edge trim removal system.
Left/Right Movable Trim Winder
Collection of the edge trim material with a left/right movable winding unit is included in the standard package. Edge trim is collected without auxiliary operation; trim collection cost is minimized.
Static Discharge Unit
For the static electricity generated in plastic and thin film slitting, a static discharge unit is included in the standard package. Operator safety increases, winding structure solidity is preserved.
