The HCI Converting Equipment Narrow Web Slitter Rewinder family is designed for narrow web and precision slitting applications. It is optimized for narrow width and low-volume products such as labels, narrow protective film, thin foil, and electronic and optical tape. With a minimum slit width of 5 mm, a working range of 200–600 mm (FSL-J600) or 200–800 mm (FSL-J800) and a 270 mm rewind diameter, it features a compact build. The Shear Cutting Unit + spring type 40 mm metal rewind shaft included in the standard package deliver high-precision narrow web roll output. GMG Technic Makina San. ve Tic. Ltd. Production Advantages
- A platform purpose-designed for narrow web slitting; with a minimum slit width of 5 mm it delivers consistent results on sensitive materials such as labels, narrow protective film and electronic / optical tape.
- Narrow core inner-diameter winding is performed with a set of 4 spring type 40 mm metal rewind shafts; for special material or inner-diameter requirements the rewind shaft is supplied to the requested dimension.
- A manually adjustable unwind stand + a powder brake 5 kg/m unwind tension system + an optional load cell sensor deliver narrow web slitting precision.
- With the Shear Cutting Unit (10 sets) + 6, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100 mm aluminum spacers (5 pieces of each size), slit width combinations are set up quickly.
- An automatic counting unit is included in the standard package; production tracking is done without being delegated to the operator, and the slit count is automatically reported at the end of the shift.
- With the modular options, an LPC or EPC web guiding (Germany E+L or ), an unwind/rewind automatic tension controller and a vacuum type edge trim removal can be added to raise production quality.

Narrow Web Precision Slit (Signature)
A structure capable of going down to a minimum 5 mm slit width; on sensitive materials such as labels, narrow protective film, thin foil, electronic and optical tape it delivers a clean cut edge and consistent slit precision. The Shear Cutting Unit is optimized for narrow core winding.
Spring Type 40 mm Metal Rewind Shaft
A set of 4 spring type 40 mm outer-diameter metal rewind shafts is included in the standard package; it grips narrow core inner diameters with spring pressure. On request, spare shafts for different rewind shaft inner diameters can be supplied.
Compact Floor Layout
With a machine size of 2.20 × 1.60 × 1.55 m for the FSL-J600 and 2.40 × 1.70 × 1.55 m for the FSL-J800, it provides a small footprint; with a net weight between 1,400–1,500 kg (depending on variant), it suits medium-capacity workshops. Standard 220V/13A, 380V/8A or 415V/7A power consumption offers low energy cost.
Modular Automatic Tension Controller
A modular unwind/rewind automatic tension controller can be added to the standard powder brake 5 kg/m unwind and rewind tension system; automatic tension correction is performed with a load cell sensor, preserving surface quality on thin film and labels.
Manually Adjustable Unwind Stand
The left/right opening levers are manually adjustable, allowing web width to be quickly adapted to line needs. Thanks to the compact layout, the operator loads the parent roll single-handedly.
Air Shaft 3″ × 600 mm Unwind Shaft
A pneumatic air shaft comes in the standard package; the air channels inside the shaft apply equal pressure to the core inner diameter, providing fast grip and release. It is suitable for a 3 inch (76 mm) core inner diameter.
Powder Brake 5 kg/m Unwind Tension
A powder brake 5 kg/m is included in the standard package on the unwind side; it provides tension control at a precision optimized for small roll diameters and low-volume products. With the optional automatic tension controller, load cell integration is provided.
Spring Type 40 mm Metal Rewind Shaft (4 Sets)
A set of 4 spring type 40 mm outer-diameter metal rewind shafts is included in the standard package; it grips narrow core inner diameters with spring pressure. Rewind quality is consistent on sensitive materials such as labels, narrow protective film and electronic tape. On request, spare shafts in different inner diameters can be supplied.
Powder Brake 5 kg/m Rewind Tension
A separate powder brake 5 kg/m tension control on the rewind side is included in the standard package; it provides consistent tension from the start to the end of the wind. With the optional rewind tension automatic controller, automatic correction is performed.
Shear Cutting Unit × 10
The Shear Cutting Unit is included in the standard package as 10 sets; it provides a clean cut edge for narrow web slitting. With aluminum spacers in 6, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 100 mm sizes (5 pieces of each size), slit widths are set up flexibly.
Automatic Counting Unit
The standard package includes a slit count counting unit; production tracking is done without being delegated to the operator, and the slit count is automatically reported at the end of the shift. A spare counting unit is available on the recommended spare parts list.
AC Motor 3HP / 5HP Main Drive
The main drive AC motor is supplied as 3HP for the FSL-J600 and 5HP for the FSL-J800; with low power consumption (220V/13A · 380V/8A · 415V/7A) it is compatible with the energy infrastructure of medium-capacity workshops. With a compact machine size and a net weight between 1,400–1,500 kg (depending on the J600/J800 variant), it is easily deployed in small production facilities.
Compact Layout 2.20 × 1.60 × 1.55 m
The machine net volume is smaller than standard slitter models; it is preferred in workshop layout plans requiring a small footprint. It provides flexibility in planning in-line transitions and operator access.
