The HCI Converting Equipment FSL-D series is a surface-type slitter rewinder family designed for small-diameter (max. 150 mm) single-roll rewinding. It is optimized for productions that require fast batch changes on label, narrow protective film, double-sided tape and precision film materials. It operates in a 300–800 mm (FSL-D800) or 300–1,000 mm (FSL-D1000) web width range; the winding core inner diameter can be in different sizes on request, from 1/2 inch up to 3 inch. Thanks to the Roll End Warning Device + Pen Holder in the standard package, the end of the roll is signaled to the operator. The powder brake 5 kg/m unwind + powder clutch 5 kg/m rewind combination provides consistent tension. GMG Technic Makina San. ve Tic. Ltd. Production Advantages
- A surface-type slitter optimized for small-diameter roll (max. 150 mm) winding; it enables fast batch changes on label, narrow protective film, double-sided tape and precision film materials.
- With a flexible winding core inner diameter (different sizes on request, from 1/2 inch up to 3 inch), it adapts to different end-product core sizes on the same machine.
- The Roll End Warning Device + Pen Holder is included in the standard package; on the unwind side the end of the roll is visually marked for the operator, preventing production stoppage.
- The powder brake 5 kg/m unwind + powder clutch 5 kg/m rewind combination provides consistent tension; the winding structure is preserved on thin and low-gauge materials.
- In the standard package, a Shear-Blade Cutting Unit (10 sets) + 6, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100 mm aluminum spacers (6 pcs each size) allow slit widths to be set up flexibly.
- With the modular upgrade, a hydraulic lift-up/down unwind stand (1000 mm jumbo diameter), 1000 mm large-diameter stand, EPC edge control system and automatic unwind tension controller are added.

FSL-D working principle and key technical features
Small-Diameter Roll (Signature)
It is optimized for small-roll rewinding with a max. 150 mm winding diameter. It is the ideal platform for productions that require fast batch changes on label, narrow protective film, double-sided tape and precision film materials.
Flexible Winding Core Inner Diameter
The winding core inner diameter is supplied in different sizes on request, from 1/2 inch up to 3 inch (a sample is requested from the customer for sizes other than 3 inch). It adapts to different end-product core sizes on the same machine.
Roll End Warning Device
On the unwind side, the end of the roll is visually marked for the operator. A painted mark is made at the roll end with the pen holder; production stoppage is prevented and the material remaining at shift end is clearly visible.
Modular Upgrade Packages
The standard 3HP main motor + powder brake 5 kg/m + 600 mm unwind diameter package is expanded with the modular upgrade to a 5HP motor, 10 kg/m powder brake, 1000 mm hydraulic lift-up/down stand or 1000 mm large-diameter stand options.
AC Motor 3HP Main Drive
The main drive AC motor 3HP is included in the standard package; a low power class suitable for small-diameter roll winding. A 5HP upgrade package is optionally available (together with 1000 mm large-diameter or hydraulic stand options).
Powder Brake 5 kg/m Unwind Tension
The unwind tension control powder brake 5 kg/m is included in the standard package; it provides consistent tension on thin and precision material. With the optional auto controller, load cell integration is done.
Air Shaft 3″ × 800 mm Unwind
The pneumatic 3 inch × 800 mm unwind air shaft is included in the standard package; it provides fast gripping and release.
Powder Clutch 5 kg/m Rewind Tension
On the rewind side, powder clutch 5 kg/m is included in the standard package; consistent tension control is done from the start to the end of the winding.
Flexible Rewind Shaft (On Request)
2 pcs rewind shaft are included in the standard package; the winding core inner diameter is supplied in different sizes on request, from 1/2 inch up to 3 inch. A sample is requested from the customer for sizes other than 3 inch.
Roll End Warning Device + Pen Holder
On the unwind side, the roll end warning device is included in the standard package; a painted mark is made at the roll end with the pen holder (10 pcs). The operator is visually warned of the roll end, preventing production stoppage.
Shear-Blade Cutting Unit × 10
In the standard package there is a Shear-Blade Cutting Unit Ø98 × 80 (10 sets) + 6, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100 mm aluminum spacers (6 pcs each size). A clean edge is obtained with shear-type cutting.
Automatic Counting Unit
The meter counter is included in the standard package; production tracking is done without being delegated to the operator, and at shift end the number of slits is reported automatically.
1/2HP Edge Trim Exhaust Fan
The 1/2HP edge trim exhaust fan is included in the standard package; it provides suction power to transfer the edge trim material out of the line. It works integrated with the optional vacuum type edge trim exhaust system.
Surface Winding Type Small-Roll Mechanism
Surface winding is performed via the driven rubber roller; thanks to the mechanism optimized for small-diameter roll (max. 150 mm) winding, the winding tension is adjusted practically according to material characteristics. It works together with the standard 5 kg/m powder clutch rewind tension system.
