The HCI Converting Equipment FSL-KA Practical Type series is a flexible-slitting slitter rewinder family optimised for production lines requiring frequent batch changes. A shaftless unwind stand + 1/2HP motor-driven arm + pneumatic chuck + load cell sensor + foot pedal are included in the standard package; jumbo roll changeover is fast and operator-safe. As signature features, the console type lower blade shaft (blade change without removal), HCI Friction Quick Lock Shaft (Patent No. 131681), razor cutting over a grooved roller (for stretch / stretchable film), automatic rewind shaft direction reverser and the optional laser core positioning device stand out. Production Advantages
- With a shaftless unwind stand + 1/2HP motor-driven arm + pneumatic chuck + foot pedal, jumbo roll changeover is fast and safe with a single operator; optimised for frequent batch change lines.
- Thanks to the console type lower blade shaft, the shear blade change is done without removing the shaft; maintenance time is minimised and operator efficiency is increased.
- The HCI Friction Quick Lock Shaft (Patent No. 131681) + 28 pcs HCI Quick Lock Ring rewind system is included in the standard package; no manual adjustment is needed through speed and diameter changes.
- The grooved roller (concave 2 mm / convex 1 mm × 100 mm) structure delivers clean cutting and low waste on flexible and stretch film materials in the razor grooved-roller cutting mode.
- With an AC 5HP motor + load cell + 7.5 inch colour LCD HMI, automatic unwind/rewind tension control + 50 recipe memory + automatic stop on material break functions are included in the standard package.
- With the modular upgrade, Siemens PLC + 9 inch touchscreen HMI, Ball Type Quick Lock Shaft alternative, 6 inch metal / quick lock chuck, Germany-made LPC, powder-brake 10 kg/m, laser core positioning device and adjustable razor cutting unit options are added.

Shaftless Unwind + Foot Pedal (Practical)
A shaftless unwind stand + 1/2HP arm drive motor + pneumatic chuck + AC 5HP motor + load cell + foot pedal are included in the standard package. Jumbo roll changeover is done fast and safely with a single operator; optimised for frequent batch change lines.
Console Type Lower Blade Shaft (Signature)
Thanks to the console type lower blade shaft, the shear knife change is done without removing the shaft. Maintenance and blade change time is dramatically shortened, and operating cost is reduced.
HCI Friction Quick Lock Patent
The HCI Friction Quick Lock Shaft (Patent No. 131681) + 28 pcs HCI Quick Lock Ring rewind system is included in the standard package. The HCI Friction Quick Lock ring system provides fast locking and stable winding support on the rewind side.
Razor Grooved-Roller Cutting System (Signature)
The razor grooved-roller cutting system is included in the standard package; with the grooved roller (concave 2 mm / convex 1 mm × 100 mm × 6 pcs), clean cutting and low waste are achieved on stretch and stretchable film materials.
Shaftless Unwind Stand
The shaftless unwind stand is included in the standard package. 2 sets of 1/2HP arm drive motors automatically position the left/right opening arms; 2 sets of travelling linear guides accompany the slit width adjustment. The jumbo roll is gripped quickly with the pneumatic chuck.
Unwind Drive AC 5HP + Load Cell + Foot Pedal
An AC motor 5HP + inverter + load cell sensor + feed foot pedal on the unwind side are included in the standard package. The operator can give the feed command by foot, keeping the hands free; the load cell continuously measures tension.
Travelling Linear Guide + LPC
The web guiding system is included in the standard package: 2 sets of travelling linear guide (left/right 70 mm travel) + LPC web guider. It tracks print line and edge in dual mode.
Main Drive AC 5HP + Pneumatic Nip Roller
The main drive AC motor 5HP + inverter are included in the standard package. A pneumatic nip roller is provided for tension isolation; perfect decoupling is achieved between unwind and rewind.
Console Type Lower Shear Knife Shaft (Signature)
The console type lower blade shaft + 10 sets of upper/lower shear cutting (Ø118/Ø92) + 6, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100 mm aluminium spacers (6 pcs each size) are included in the standard package. Thanks to the console type structure, the shear blade change is done without removing the shaft.
Razor Grooved-Roller Cutting System
The razor grooved-roller cutting system is included in the standard package; 6 pcs grooved roller (concave 2 mm / convex 1 mm × 100 mm) + 10 sets of razor holder. A cutting mode optimised for stretch and stretchable film materials.
1HP Edge-Trim Exhaust Fan
A 1HP edge-trim exhaust fan is included in the standard package; it provides suction power for transferring the edge-trim material off the line.
Rewind: AC 5HP × 2 + Anti-Static (2 Sets) + Length Counter
2 sets of AC motor 5HP + inverter on the rewind side are included in the standard package. 2 sets of anti-static brushes provide static discharge for plastic film; the length counter automatically counts the slit length.
HCI Friction Quick Lock Rewind Shaft (Patent No. 131681)
2 sets of HCI Friction Quick Lock Shaft (Patent No. 131681) + 28 pcs HCI Quick Lock Ring are included in the standard package. The HCI Friction Quick Lock ring system provides fast locking and stable winding support on the rewind side.
Pneumatic Lay-On Roller (2 Sets)
2 sets of pneumatic lay-on roller + 2 sets of roller arm + 2 sets of 1,300 mm rubber roller are included in the standard package. Surface contact is maintained during winding, and play and telescoping effects are neutralised.
Product Discharge Device + Automatic Direction Reverser
A product discharge device + 2 sets of console type shaft (800 mm) + automatic rewind shaft direction reverser are included in the standard package. Finished rolls are discharged ergonomically, and the winding direction is reversed automatically.
PLC + 7.5″ Colour HMI
A 7.5 inch colour LCD touchscreen is included in the standard package. Dialogue-based parameter setting, automatic unwind/rewind tension control, automatic stop on material break, recipe memory 50 units.
