The HCI Converting Equipment FSL series is the versatile economy-segment slitter rewinder family for flexible packaging and standard film slitting lines. The main model series is offered as FSL-1000 / 1300 / 1600 / 1800 in a 300–1,800 mm web width range, at 0–150 m/min speed and a 5HP main drive configuration. For narrow web applications, the FSL-300 variant (50–300 mm web, 0–250 m/min) can be considered as a separate configuration. A mature and economical platform with extensive field history; a floating type unwind stand + 3 inch pneumatic air shaft + 5 kg/m powder brake unwind tension are included in the standard package; on the rewind side it is delivered with a choice of 2 sets of friction rewind shaft with bakelite 42 mm × 46 pcs or HCI Quick Lock Ring × 8 pcs. A shear-blade + razor dual cutting unit is included in the standard package; the cutting mode is selected according to material type and slit width. GMG Technic Makina San. ve Tic. Ltd. Production Advantages
- An economy-segment solution for flexible packaging and standard film slitting lines; aimed at the core needs of medium-capacity workshops.
- A shear-blade cutting unit (10 sets) + razor cutting unit (10 sets) come together in the standard package; the cutting mode is selected according to material type and slit width.
- It is delivered with a choice of 2 sets of friction rewind shaft + bakelite 42 mm (46 pcs) or HCI Quick Lock Ring (8 pcs); the rewind shaft type is selected according to production needs.
- A floating type unwind stand + 3 inch × 1,000 mm pneumatic air shaft + 5 kg/m powder brake unwind tension + 4 sets of aluminum lay-on roller 400 mm are included in the standard package.
- A static eliminator unit + meter counter (automatic line stop) + 1/2HP edge trim blow-off fan + 2 sets of bakelite edge trim rewind shaft are included in the standard package; edge trim blow-off or winding is done at the operator’s choice.
- With the modular upgrade, a 7.5HP main drive, LPC/EPC web guiding systems (Germany E+L, Japanese Mitsuhashi or ), automatic unwind tension controller, 1,000 mm large-diameter unwind stand and different-side unwind/rewind device are added.

Economy Universal Slitting (Signature)
The FSL series is an economy universal platform aimed at the core slitter rewinder need of medium-capacity workshops. Flexible packaging film, paper roll, label and foil slitting is performed in a 300–1,000 mm web width range; a wide material range is offered with an economical price advantage.
Bakelite or HCI Quick Lock (Rewind Shaft Choice)
In the standard package, the rewind side is delivered with a choice of 2 sets of friction rewind shaft + bakelite 42 mm (46 pcs) or HCI Quick Lock Ring (8 pcs); bakelite is preferred in the economy segment while HCI Quick Lock is preferred for high precision.
Dual Cutting Mode (Standard)
In the standard package, a shear-blade cutting unit (10 sets, 6, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100 mm aluminum spacers × 6 pcs) + razor cutting unit (10 sets) come together. The cutting mode is selected according to material type and slit width; the optional grooved-roller razor cutting system enriches the friction-free slitting mode.
Modular Upgrade Packages
With the modular upgrade, a 7.5HP main drive, LPC/EPC web guiding systems (Germany E+L, Japanese Mitsuhashi or ), automatic unwind tension controller, 1,000 mm large-diameter unwind stand, different-side unwind/rewind device, top-bottom opposite winding device are added.
AC Motor 5HP Main Drive
The main drive AC motor 5HP is included in the standard package; a power class optimized for the economy segment. A 7.5HP upgrade package is optionally available.
Floating Type Unwind Stand
On the unwind side, a floating type stand is included in the standard package; the left/right unwind arms balance automatically, the master roll eccentricity is compensated, and slit position accuracy is preserved.
3″ × 1,000 mm Pneumatic Air Shaft (Unwind)
A 3 inch × 1,000 mm pneumatic unwind air shaft is included in the standard package; the air channels apply equal pressure to the core inner diameter for fast gripping and release.
Powder Brake 5 kg/m Unwind Tension Control
The unwind tension control with precise powder brake 5 kg/m is included in the standard package; it provides consistent tension in medium-volume production. With the optional automatic controller, load cell integration is provided.
Friction Rewind Shaft + Bakelite / HCI Quick Lock (Choice)
2 sets of friction rewind shaft are included in the standard package; the rewind side is delivered with a choice of bakelite 42 mm (46 pcs) or HCI Quick Lock Ring (8 pcs). Bakelite is preferred for the economy segment, HCI Quick Lock for more precise winding.
Aluminum Lay-On Roller × 4 (400 mm)
4 sets of 400 mm long aluminum lay-on rollers are included in the standard package. Each roller is positioned according to the slit width; it provides contact across the entire winding.
Shear-Blade Cutting Unit × 10
In the standard package there is a shear-blade cutting unit (10 sets) + 6, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100 mm aluminum spacers (6 pcs each size). A clean edge is obtained with shear-type cutting.
Razor Cutting Unit × 10
In the standard package there is a razor cutting unit (10 sets). A low trim rate is provided with razor-type cutting; the friction-free slitting mode is added with the optional grooved-roller razor cutting system.
Static Eliminator + Meter Counter
A static eliminator unit for static electricity in plastic and thin film slitting is included in the standard package; the meter counter stops the line automatically when the preset length is completed.
Bakelite Edge Trim Rewind Shaft × 2
2 sets of bakelite edge trim rewind shaft are included in the standard package for winding the edge trim material. The edge trim is collected without an additional attachment; it works together with the 1/2HP edge trim blow-off fan (blow-off or winding at the operator’s choice).
